DBasia.news –  Inter Milan received victory from a penalty shootout against PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) at the International Champions Cup event on Saturday (7/27). Inter players have begun to understand the style of play Antonio Conte wants.

The match ended in a draw at the Macau Olympic Complex Stadium. Goals from Thilo Kehrer, PSG defender, were answered by Samuele Longo at the end of the match. Conte greatly appreciates the hard work and unyielding spirit of his foster children.

“I am very happy with this result and with the way we play. We gave a solid performance and I think we don’t deserve to lose,” Conte said, quoted from Calciomercato.

“Looking at our performance, I continue to see great improvements that are very important in this phase in the summer. We attacked well, survived well, and we have played with good aggressiveness.”

In addition to Conte’s appreciation, two La Beneamata players, Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni, who acted as defenders in the three defender Conte’s tactics, considered that Inter players had begun to understand the style of football that Conte was trying to apply.

“That match was challenging, but we gave a great performance and had more chances to score, so luckily we could score at the end of the match,” said Skriniar on the club’s official website.

“From one match to the next, we are getting better. We are developing and following Conte’s instructions,” continued the Slovenian defender.

Bastoni also thinks so. He was also pleased to see Inter’s brand-new defender, Diego Godin, in action in the second half of the match.

“You can see Conte’s influence and we are getting better every day. Seeing Diego Godin play really greatly aas he can really help us (reach the target),” added Bastoni.
