Morata’s Aim to Conte

DBasia.news – Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata revealed the reason he performed poorly. According to Morata, it was due to Antonio Conte’s strategy who wasn’t suitable for him.
Alvaro Morata came to Chelsea with the great expectation. No wonder, the Spanish striker recruited from Real Madrid with 66 million euro (Rp1,09 trillion).
However, Alvaro Morata couldn’t fulfill Chelsea’s expectation in his first season. From 48 matches, Morata just scored 15 goals.
The poor performance made Alvaro Morata didn’t include to the Spain national team in the 2018 World Cup. Besides, Chelsea almost sold Morata.
Alvaro Morata realized the poor performance was triggered to his incompatibility with the strategy of Chelsea former coach Antonio Conte. Now, Morata wants to prove his talent.
“I could have gone back to Spain or Italy. Chelsea gave me everything that I needed and now I have time to give back all that Chelsea give me,” Alvaro Morata told Sky Sports.
“Last season it was direct balls and for me to protect the ball in the air is not my best quality.”
“Now I can attack the space, I can play one touch and go in the area for the crosses. It’s better for me,” Alvaro Morata continued.
