DBasia.news –  Misfortune has befallen Barcelona’s new goalkeeper, Neto. Having recently also joined Valencia and played several preseason games, Neto injured his right hand.

According to reports from AS, Neto will undergo the surgery process on his right hand on Tuesday (13/8) local time. The operation process is expected to keep the former Juventus player absent within the next five weeks, by which time the La Liga competition would have begun and will make him unable to get a chance to appear with his new team.

The injury was experienced by Neto in the last training session by Barca as they were preparing to face Napoli in the final part of their preseason series in the United States. The surgery will be done by Dr. Xavier Mir, MotoGP medical chief.

During Neto’s absence to undergo the recovery process, Barca will use Inaki Pena as a coating from Marc-Andre ter Stegen who will maintain his position as the main goalkeeper.
