DBasia.news – The new manager for Newcastle United, Steve Bruce, is reportedly exploring the possibility of repatriating English striker Andy Carroll.
Newcastle have communicated with Carroll while watching the player’s recovery after ankle surgery.
Carroll is now on a free transfer after the 30-year-old has been out of contract at West Ham United.
Injuries continue to haunt Carroll. Last season at West Ham, he was only reduced to a total of 12 times due to the same injury in two periods, July-November 2018 and March-June 2019.
Carroll is a Newcastle academy dropout. The former Liverpool player defended the Magpies’ main squad from 2006-2011.
In addition to Carroll, the name that is widely associated with Newcastle is Brazilian Hoffenheim striker Joelinton, who is reported to be redeemed for £ 35 million.
