DBasia.news – Borussia Dortmund successfully ended the dominance of Bayern Munich in the DFL-Supercup event. Die Borussen won 2-0 over Die Roten in DFL-Supercup 2019 which took place at Signal Iduna Park on Sunday (4/8) WIB. Two Dormund goals were scored by Paco Alcacer (48 ‘) and Jadon Sancho (69’).
This defeat continued to give the spotlight to Bayern, who won the league with great difficulty last season. The transfer policy that they have applied so far has not produced satisfactory results, especially in the back line after they brought in Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez.
Related to the defeat of his team, Niko Kovac as the main coach of Bayern felt disappointed. Kovac highlighted the mistakes made by his players throughout the match against Die Borussen.
“Of course we feel disappointed because of this defeat. In my opinion we showed a performance that was quite good, not satisfying, but good enough. We dominated the game, making two mistakes which were then successfully exploited by the Dortmund players. We also lost because we failed to take advantage of the opportunity, “Niko Kovac told a press conference quoted from the US.
Kovac said that this defeat was still acceptable as most of the players in his team had only gone through the first match with 90 minutes. But the coach also insisted that he did not want to see similar mistakes in the next fight.
