DBasia.news – James Rodriguez is not the only player who has ever argued with Niko Kovac, Bayern Munich coach. Rafinha, too. Only recently did he openly express his disappointment at Kovac.
Some time ago, Rafinha was disappointed because he was rarely given the opportunity to train even though he had trained hard in the training session. In the end, Kovac still chose Joshua Kimmich as Bayern’s right-back defender.
Rafinha also said, although not always playing regularly, at least Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti, and Jupp Heynckes, gave him the opportunity to play. Suddenly the disappointment expressed by Rafinha in front of the public was replied by the coach.
The former Bayern defender in mid-2001-2003 confirmed that no single player is more important or big than the name of the club. Kovac also explained that Rafinha had apologized for the criticism he made.
“There is nothing more important than the club and can criticize the coach. That applies to all players too,” said Kovac, as reported by Goal.
“When you say things emotionally you will regret them later. We have spoken and he (Rafinha) has apologized in front of the team because of his statement,” he continued.
Bayern have won 10 of the last 11 Bundesliga matches to be able to cut the distance with Borussia Dortmund to three points. In the midst of a storm of Bayern injury – last befell Franck Ribery, Kovac believes Bayern are ready to play all-out, including in the closest match against Borussia Monchengladbach, Sunday (3/3) at 00:30 Western Indonesian Time.
“We are back in business (involved in the struggle for the Bundesliga title) to end everything. We will not allow injury as an excuse. We need all three points, even though the match will be difficult,” concluded Kovac.
