No longer chasing Barcelona and Real Madrid, Diego Simeone is worried about Sevilla
By db-admin
DBasia.news – After the defeat of Barcelona in La Liga, Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone said his team is currently worried about competition with Sevilla who are five points at odds with Atletico. Simeone also mentioned that he was no longer focused on chasing Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Atletico narrowly lost 1-0 to Barcelona on Monday (2/12) early morning Western Indonesian Time, because of the charming goal of Lionel Messi in the 86th minute at Wanda Metropolitano.
The defeat makes Los Rojiblancos must go down to sixth place in the standings, six points behind championship Barcelona and city rivals, Madrid and also five points behind Sevilla who occupy third place.
“Barcelona and Real Madrid no longer make me worry,” Simeone told reporters after the match.
“Precisely Sevilla (making them worry), now they are five points away.”
The difficulty of Atletico winning consistently can not be separated from the blunt performance of their front lines who have just scored 16 goals in 15 matches in the 2019/20 La Liga season.
