DBasia.news – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer assessed his team, Manchester United, had difficulty playing in the Champions League next season. Nevertheless, the Red Devils are judged to have developed a lot.
Manchester United ranked sixth with 64 points. Romelu Lukaku and his friends are three points adrift of Arsenal who occupy the final limit of the Champions League zone.
At present, Manchester United have no chance of winning any titles. That way, Man United’s main focus is to qualify for the Champions League.
“I am not sure about that. I have studied a lot for months here and most of them are really impressed with the attitude. However, some people need to check the reality of where they are,” Solskjaer said as quoted by Goal.
“It is football. We have lost two league matches, Wolves and Arsenal. That match we should not have talked about defeat. We won matches that might not be worth getting and that leveled everything.”
Manchester United will still face Manchester City and Chelsea in the remaining matches. The situation is quite difficult for him to be the host.
“The players know what will happen and they know what is expected as a club and what we want. When we came on December 19 and where we are now, I think anyone will take that,” he added.
“We have five matches to see what can be done,” said the manager.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer came on for Jose Mourinho who was sacked by Manchester United. At present, the Red Devils have raised the status of Solskjaer to be a permanent manager with a contract for the next three years.
