DBasia.news – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) had their first defeat in Ligue 1 2018-19. Olympique Lyonnais beat them with 2-1 score via Moussa Dembele and Nabil Fekir’s goals (penalty), after previously having Angel Di Maria score a goal.
PSG’s loss happened a week before a meeting with Manchester United in the first leg top 16 Champions league. PSG captain, Thiago Silva, believes United Manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must be the happiest person over their lost.
“Solskjaer must be happy with what he saw (PSG lost 1-2 to Lyon). We started the game well, but then we lost concentration and did not have a good first half,” explains Silva, reported from Goal.
“It is difficult for me too. The second half was better, but it wasn’t enough. We missed a lot of things. We need to be more focused when we do not half the ball, for example,” he adds.
A defeat plus also loosing Neymar, Lassana Diarra, and Marco Verratti to injuries. PSG gained no advantages going up against The Red Devil who has been undefeated on 10 striking matches in every competition.
Even so, Silva believes under the care of Thomas Tuchel, PSG can fully transform while playing the first leg top 16 Champions League counter Man United. The first leg held at Old Trafford on Wednesday (13/2) 03.00 AM WIB.
“But don’t worry about us. Next Tuesday, in Manchester, it will be a different competition, a different environment, a different atmosphere. In the meantime, we still need to do other things. We will face a great team. Manchester United won 9 out of 10 matches,” added the 34-year old defender.
Before going up against United, PSG will first host Girondins Bordeaux on Saturday (9/2) 23.00 PM WIB. Meanwhile Man United visits Fulham headquarters, Craven Cottage, in the Premier League continuing match, Saturday (9/2) 19.30 PM.
