Patrick Cutrone Says Serie A Teams Prefer Foreign Talents Over Local

DBasia.news – Patrick Cutrone expressed his complaints to the Serie A teams which he considered to preferforeign talents over local. Cutrone is a former Milan striker who moved to the Premier League.
Cutrone is clear evidence of that comment. The Milan academy products was sold by the Rossoneri to Wolverhampton Wanderers, a Premier League club, in order to make room for the new Portuguese striker, Rafael Leao.
Milan’s front line is now occupied by Leao and Krzysztof Piatek, the Polish bomber. The same thing happened to Moise Kean at Juventus. Kean was sold to Everton and the Bianconeri relied on Gonzalo Higuain, Mario Mandzukic, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Even if you look closely, the other top Serie A clubs are no different. Inter Milan has Lautaro Martinez, Mauro Icardi, and Romelu Lukaku, while AS Roma relies on Edin Dzeko, and Napoli has Arkadiusz Milik.
That proves that Serie A does rely on foreign products rather than local. Cutrone is still upset about leaving Milan, however, he is grateful to be given the opportunity to play in the first team who won seven Champions League titles.
“Kean and I in the Premier League? It’s always the same story – foreign players are preferred over us,” Cutrone told Gazzeta dello Sport.
“For us in our 20s, it is challenging, but whatever it is, I want to appreciate something – I will always be grateful for Milan for what they have given me,” he added.
It is ironic to see local Italian talents working abroad. Nevertheless, the Italian national team can benefit from it if the players develop well in the future. Both Cutrone and Kean are products of Milan and Juventus academies.
