DBasia.news – Thierry Henry will start his new career in the coaching world with his first professional club, AS Monaco. Henry was appointed as the substitute player for Leonardo Jardim who got fired following Monaco’s poor performance at the beginning of Ligue 1 season.
Henry is facing a huge challenge to bring Monaco to save from the degradation zone. Monaco are in the 18th rank of the standing, just 4 points away from Stade Reims, who are in the limit of degradation zone.
The living legend of Monaco and Arsenal is actually a coach with lack of experience. His coaching career was just assisting coach Roberto Martinez in Belgium national team. However, when he was still active, Henry was coached and learned directly from the coaches like Arsene Wenger and Pep Guardiola.

By that living experience, Robert Pires, Henry’s compatriot, believes his former teammate in Arsenal and France national team will be a successful coach in Europe. Pires couldn’t answer Henry’s capability as a coach, but he believes Henry could be successful just like Zinedine Zidane.
“This is a difficult question because this is new for Titi. Nobody knows, even him, what he can do as a manager. With Thierry you need passion, it is an important thing for him. He needs to talk to the players about the tactics on the field,” Pires said.
“It is important he has learnt a lot with Roberto Martinez and when he used to play with Arsenal (under Arsenal Wenger) and Barcelona with Pep Guardiola he learned a lot about this.”
