DBasia.news – Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino said that he was disappointed with the performance of his foster children when defeated against Southampton.
In the 30th week Premier League match, Tottenham Hotspur took the lead through Harry Kane’s goal in the 26th minute. However, Southampton scored two replies each by Yann Valery in the 76th minute and James Ward-Prowse five minutes later.
Due to sanctions from the English Football Association (FA), Pochettino can only watch matches from the stands. He believes that Harry Kane and colleagues played arrogantly in the second half.
“I am very disappointed. I was a little worried about the changes that occurred from the first round to the second round. There’s only one cause, namely mental, “said Mauricio Pochettino.
“We were easily satisfied and arrogant in a bad way. You can make our first round appearance a positive, arrogant example. We play with intention, focus and concentration. We balance them in all aspects and are far better, “he said.
“In the second half, we were arrogant in a negative way. We have to blame ourselves, “Mauricio Pochettino said.
At present, Tottenham Hotspur is third in the Premier League standings with 61 points.
