DBasia.news –  AS Roma positively started the first leg of the Champions League last 16 through a 2-1 victory at home to Portugal, FC Porto, at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday (13/2) early morning Western Indonesian Time. The result enlarges Roma’s chances to the last eight of the 2018-19 Champions League.

But it needs to be realized, a 2-1 advantage still has many possibilities that can occur. In fact, it can be said that Porto is still very likely to get rid of Rome. Because, in the second leg later, Porto only need to win 1-0 when appearing in front of their home crowd.

Because of that, Roma coach, Eusebio Di Francesco said his squads would continue to play attacking, chasing victory when facing Porto in the second leg.

According to him, playing defensively is a big mistake when trying to maintain excellence.

“The biggest mistake I can make in the second leg is playing defensively and trying to maintain excellence,” Di Francesco said as quoted by Football-Italy.

“In the first leg, we all witnessed the slightest incident that could change the course of the match.”

“But of course we also can’t forget the defense. I say many times, balance is very important. Little mistakes will always be there, “Di Francesco said again.

The second leg will be held at the Stadio Do Dragao on March 6, 2019. Roma certainly want to repeat success last season when they managed to advance to the quarter-finals after getting rid of Shakhtar Donetsk.
