DBasia.news – England highest league, Premier League announced the contract renewal with the US sports apparel, Nike.
With this new contract, Nike will be the official sponsorship of the Premier League until 2025.
The contract renewal between the Premier League and Nike is for another six years. It means the partnership since 2000 will continue.
The first time Nike collaborated with Premier Leagues was in 2000-2001 season. At that time, Nike released a designated ball called Nike Geo Merlin first edition.
Under that partnership, Nike must prepare all the needs for the development of Premier League young players. Besides, they also have to fulfill other obligations.
“Nike is an excellent partner for the Premier League and, through its track-record of innovation, has done a great job providing high-quality match-balls for the competition for nearly 20 years,” Premier League CEO Richard Scudamore said.
Nike GM, Martin Buckley, also stated the same. “Nike’s two decades of partnership with the Premier League continues our commitment to innovation on the field and supporting players from the grassroots to elite levels of the game.”
