DBasia.news – Real Madrid wonderkid, Reinier is just one step away from completing a season-long loan transfer to Borussia Dortmund.
Goal is aware that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs and the 18-year-old player will be serving the 2020/21 season at Westfalenstadion.
Dortmund will have the option to extend the loan duration for an additional year, but no buyout clause has been included in the deal.
Dortmund coach, Lucien Favre confirmed Reinier’s arrival was imminent after accompanying his team that beat Austrian club, Vienna in a pre-season trial match on Sunday (16/7).
“We want to loan him. This is in progress. From what I see, he is great in attacking and finishing,” said Favre.
Madrid paid 35 million euros to bring in the young midfielder to the Santiago Bernabeu from Flamengo in January.
He has a contract with the La Liga champions until 2026, but competition regulations has prevent him from joining Zinedine Zidane’s first team immediately.
Reinier can only play for Madrid’s satellite team, Castilla because only a maximum of three non-EU players can be registered in the main squad, which has already been filled by Vinicius, Rodrygo and Eder Militao.
Madrid hopes Reinier can grow rapidly in Dortmund, who is known as a club orbiting young talents from around the world for the last few years.
Names like Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland and Giovanni Reyna emerged after being part of them, plus Achraf Hakimi who is also on loan by Madrid, is now one of the best young left-backs in the world.
