DBasia.news – Real Madrid reportedly rejected a stadium loan offer from its rival, Atletico Madrid. Atletico Madrid reportedly gave an offer to the team coached by Zinedine Zidane to use the Wanda Metropolitano stadium for the rest of the season.
Los Blancos were unable to play at the Santiago Bernabeu for their home matches during this season as it was being heavily renovated.
Zinedine Zidane’s team will play all remaining home matches at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium which is in the club’s sports facilities in Valdebebas and is usually home to Castilla’s junior team.
“We depend on Real Madrid if they want to play at Wanda,” Atletico Madrid president, Enrique Cerezo told Cadena Ser.
However, the front page of Marca and Diario AS on Thursday stated that Madrid had not thought about accepting Atletico’s offer.
Wanda Metropolitano is said to be often more vacant than the old Vicente Calderon stadium. The stadium was the venue for the Champions League final last season when Liverpool beat Tottenham 2-0.
