Roberto Martinez
DBasia.news – Real Madrid coach position is still vacant after the sacking of Julen Lopetegui. Roberto Martinez is one of the coaches aimed by El Real, but, he insisted that he still wants to coach Belgium national team.
As a matter of fact, Madrid’s coaching seat is vacant after Los Blancos management sacked Julen Lopetegui for failing to fulfill their expectation.
As the interim coach, Santiago Solari was appointed until the management finds the successor. Some names mentioned, one of them is Martinez.
However, Madrid’s intention to feel Martinez won’t happen in the near future. Apparently, the former Everton manager admits that he is still enjoying his status as Belgium coach.
“I don’t want to say whether I or my agent had contact with Real Madrid. That is irrelevant and would be of little respect in the run-up to the matches against Switzerland and Iceland. That’s what we’re doing now,” Martinez said quoted by Goal, Saturday (10/11).
“I’ve already said that here in two languages. My message will remain the same: the only thing that interests me today is the Belgium team,” the 45-year-old coach concluded.
