DBasia.news – Paulo Fonseca started his debut as AS Roma coach with a draw against Genoa through the score 3-3.
In this fight, Roma led the match three times. But Genoa who is trained by ex Allenatore Giallorossi, Aurelio Andreazzoli, was always able to equalize.
Fonseca himself admitted his team was not a defensive team. The Portuguese coach is indeed known to have a super attacking playing style.
“I have never prepared a match by concentrating on the back line. I want the team to dominate and always take the initiative first,” Paulo Fonseca said.
“As I said before, I believe in the players the team has. Everyone also knows, we are still looking for a central defender and hope to get it before the transfer window closes,” Fonseca added.
“But we need a central defender who can improve the quality of the team or not at all,” continued the 46-year-old coach.
