Rooney Wants Pogba’s Consistency

By news-admin

DBasia.news – From A to Z, Manchester United’s problems never end in the Jose Mourinho era. There are too many rumors in the 20 Premier League clubs winner. The negative issue filled the media instead of the performance on the pitch.

One of Man United’s biggest issues, besides Mourinho, is Paul Pogba. His performance was in contrary with the moment when he won the 2018 World Cup with France national team. He played two Premier League matches and showed the old habit: inconsistency.

Appointed as the captain of both matches against Leicester City and Brighton & Hove Albion, Pogba performed great bringing Man United won 2-1 against Leicester, and then ‘disappeared’ when defeated 2-3 against Brighton. Pogba expected to revive ahead of the third week of Premier League against Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham, who last season finished in the big four of Premier League and won two initial matches this season, there would be no room for Pogba to perform inconsistently as the match against Brighton. He shouldn’t always blame the Man United players’ character or the media who blamed Mourinho who assumed failed to maximize Pogba’s talent.

Man United’s legend currently plays in DC United, Wayne Rooney, Pogba has to be responsible to fix his performance. He has to find his best performance, by leading and inspiring the teammates to do the same as him.

“He is a fantastic player but he has to do it for himself. If they’re going to win the title, he’ll be the main player in terms of them doing that,” Rooney said reported by Goal.

“You hear a lot of people saying Jose Mourinho needs to get the best out of him but he needs to do it for himself and prove he’s at that level to help Man United,” he insisted.

The fans expected Pogba to lead United and ends the waiting for Premier League title since 2013. Ironically, that was the last season Sir Alex Ferguson led The Red Devils after 26 years.
