DBasia.news – The Russian club, Rubin Kazan, are banned to perform in the European competition for a season due to the financial breach.
UEFA, in their statement, mentioned that the ban sanction will be applied if Rubin Kazan qualify for UEFA competitions.
“The club is excluded from participating in the next UEFA club competition for which it would otherwise qualify in the next two (2) seasons,” UEFA said.
The governing body said the decision was made “due to a breach of the Settlement Agreement” but did not give any further details.
UEFA introduced the “financial fair play” regulation to avoid rich clubs buying top players with unlimited transfer fee.
Under UEFA terms, the club aren’t allowed to purchase more than the general revenue.
The club who violated the regulation usually made a deal called “settlement agreement” with UEFA, whereas they accept the transfer limit for certain season.
