DBasia.news –  The young Salzburg striker, Erling Braut Haaland successfully equaled the record of former Manchester United star, Wayne Rooney, and former Real Madrid player, Raul.

Salzburg FC rolled out KRC Genk 6-2 in the inaugural Champions League 2019/20 match at the Red Bull Arena Stadium, Austria.

There is something interesting in the match between the two clubs. One of the young Salzburg attackers, Erling Haaland, achieved many records overnight. He became the third young player to successfully score three successive goals on his first debut playing in the Champions League.

The 19-year-old equaled to Wayne Roone and Raul’s record, who also became a young hat-trick player in their first Champions League debut.

Wayne Rooney successfully set the record at the age of 18 when facing Fenerbahce in 2004. While Raul made his record for the first time at the age of 18 in 1995.

Not only becoming the third player to carve out these amazing achievements. Haaland also became the third player to score a goal in his first two minutes in the Champions League.

His name is coupled with Andreas Moller (Borussia Dortmund) in 1995 and Eliaquim Mangala (Standard Liege) in 2009.

Thanks to his outstanding performance, Haaland took the club to first place in the 2019 Champions League Group E standings.

Salzburg is in a group with Liverpool, Napoli and KRC Genk.
