DBasia.news – Big transfers might happen during 2019 winter transfer market. Even when the year just starts, one big transfer has been completed.

It’s rather big because related to the former Arsenal and Manchester City player, Samir Nasri. The 31-year-old midfielder is officially joining West Ham United.

Nasri reunites with his former manager in Man City, Manuel Pellegrini, after the suspend to play due to doping case stopped. Nasri finished that ban after 18 months and could return to the pitch this month. He is signed until the end of the season with one-year renewal option.

“You choose a club and a project because of the ambition, and I think that West Ham has everything to be one of the biggest clubs in London, for sure,” Nasri said in West Ham’s official website.

“I mean, 60,000 people every game at home. We play at the Olympic Stadium. The training ground is there and you have owners who want to invest and have a good team. Everything is there to be doing great things. Coming back to the most competitive league in the world, with a team full of ambition with a manager that I know. It’s the best job in the world, and I’m really excited about it.”

Pellegrini hopes Nasri could boost The Hammers performance who are currently in the 11th rank of Premier League table. He thinks the French player could give a different dynamic for West Ham.

“Samir will give us another dimension in our attacking play. He is a very technical player, with excellent quality on the ball, and the ability to create big moments in important matches.”

West Ham would be the sixth club for the player who scored 41 caps and 5 goals with France national team. Previously, he supported Olympique Marseille, Arsenal, Man City, Sevilla, and Antalyaspor.

For those who didn’t notice, Nasri is the attacking midfielder who could play both in the wing or center. He has great skills in passing, cross passing, dribbling, and executing the ball.
