DBasia.news – Former Manchester City player Samir Nasri finally caught up with his former captain at City, Vincent Kompany, who left for Anderlecht.
Anderlecht is the umpteenth club defended by Samir Nasri. Last season he still played for West Ham United, but his contract there was not extended by management because he failed to meet expectations.
Together with the Belgian giants, the Frenchman was contracted for one year. But if he can show his best performance there, management is ready to extend his contract.
The 32-year-old player’s decision arrived at Anderlecht based on Vincent Kompany’s persuasion. He claimed he wanted to learn a lot from the former captain of the Belgian national team.
“Vincent helped me and we all know Anderlecht is the most successful club in Belgium. “I received several great offers, but I chose this club with confidence,” Nasri said.
This will be the second together between Samir Nasri and Vincent Kompany. Previously they played together for Manchester City in 2011 until 2017. But at the end of the season, the former Arsenal player decided to leave for the Turkish club, Antalyaspor.
