Sarri and Conte’s Difference According to David Luiz

DBasia.news – Chelsea defender David Luiz commented the coaching method of the new architect, Maurizio Sarri. According to Luiz, Sarri has a different strategy compared to Conte.

David Luiz was one of Chelsea’s keys in winning the 2016-2017 Premier League title. But, last season, Luiz failed to show the same performance as the injury and poor performance with Conte.

Seeing Chelsea’s shifting of strategy, Sarri gives more emphasize to speed and pressure. Meanwhile, Conte prefered to play safe with pressures from both wings.

“If the manager had stayed the same, of course, everybody knows maybe I would have had to move clubs. Now I’m here and so happy,” Luiz told Sky Sports.

“I think every coach comes with new stuff and can improve and help us and of course Sarri has already taught me many things I never saw before,” Luiz said.

“He just gives to you (the public) five per cent of the idea, he’s not going to give you 100 per cent of the idea, one of the parts of the idea is to focus on the ball and different parts of the pitch, you have to understand the movement,” the player reviewed.

Sarri brought a positive impact in the beginning of Chelsea’s journey in 2018-2019 Premier League. So far, Eden Hazard and friends always got the perfect point.

“I think we are in the beginning, we already head everything but you have to learn in your head and pass this to your body and synchronise. With everybody it takes time but we’ve already played two games and got six points.”
