DBasia.news – There are many surprises happened in the last match of 2018-2019 Champions League. Manchester City weren’t surprising. Apparently, The Citizens won 2-1 against Hoffenheim at Etihad Stadium.
No wonder, besides City, the other big teams like Bayern and Ajax ended the match in a draw score, Juventus and Manchester United got defeated, AS Roma did too, and the defending champion Real Madrid also failed. City’s dominance was the result from two goals of Leroy Sane after the 0-1 situation by Andrej Kramaric.
Sane who scored the goal by his free-kick revealed his secret regarding that goal. “After training, I practice a lot and try to score some free-kicks. Today I just thought we had this moment, and I just tried it,” he said in City’s official website.
City manager Pep Guardiola also hails Sane’s goal. “The first goal was beautiful,’ the City manager said. ‘The second goal was a bit lucky because his control was not good, but he finished it.”
City squad under Pep finished first in Group H 2018/2019 Champions League with 13 points from 4 victories, 1 draw, and 1 loss.
