Solskjaer Never Doubt Lingard

DBasia.news – Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, claimed never to doubt Jesse Lingard’s ability.
Although he always won the trust of Solskjaer, Lingard failed to show his best performance. Of the three games that have been played, the original Red Devils academy player was unable to record goals or assists.
In the last match against Palace, Lingard was unable to do much. Lingard’s playing minute in the game did not even take an hour. He was replaced by Mason Greenwood in the 51st minute.
Lingard himself has only contributed one assist for United since December 2018. During that period, he also did not score a single goal.
“Jesse has never been the most prolific center forward in front of goal,” Solskjaer said.
“If you look throughout his career, he has other attributes and Jesse’s contribution this season has been fantastic for me. Since his first day in training, he has shown that he is determined to stay in the team, to show me that he wants it through training and play.”
“Of course sometimes you want him to be more effective in front of goal, but he does a lot of other things. I left him against AC Milan, he scored a goal when he came in, and he scored two days later when we played against Blackburn here,” Solskjaer added.
