Stan Collymore Doesn’t Like to See Arsenal Recruit David Luiz

DBasia.news – Brazilian defender David Luiz has left Chelsea and joined Arsenal at the close of the summer transfer window in England. The transfer raises the pros and cons.
Arsenal made a surprise by buying David Luiz. Reportedly, the Gunners gave 8 million pounds to Chelsea to feel the service of the Brazilian player.
In fact, the name of David Luiz has only been linked to Arsenal ahead of the closing of the transfer market. Previously, the Gunners reportedly were trying to recruit Dayot Upamecano or Daniele Rugani.
Arsenal hope, David Luiz can be a mainstay in the backline. Moreover, Luiz has a wealth of experience because he had defended several clubs.
Premier League observers, Stan Collymore, accused Arsenal did not want to strengthen the defense. Because, instead of looking for a defender with high potential, the Gunners prefer to hook the aging players who have reached the end of his career.
“David Luiz? Right now Arsenal should bring in premium defenders. Looking around the world to get a pure leader figure, so they can be formed as a mainstay player,” said Collymore as reported by Metro.
“Arsenal took the lazy option. They only saw 8 kilometers and decided to bring in a 32-year-old player? Embarrassing,” he continued.
Stan Collymore thinks David Luiz is not a defender needed by Arsenal. Therefore, the Gunners have made the wrong decision.
“If you become part of Arsenal and can speak to Unai Emery, I will ask the coach not to bring in David Luiz,” he said.
Arsenal do look more active in the transfer market compared to other clubs in the top six positions. The Gunners have brought in several players such as Dani Ceballos, Nicolas Pepe, Gabriel Martinelli, and Kieran Tierney.
