By news-admin

DBasia.news –  Arsenal won three points when they narrowly won 1-0 over Newcastle United in the 2019-20 Premier League opening week.

Visiting Newcastle headquarters at St James Park Stadium on Sunday (11/8), Arsenal practically dominated the game. The Gunners rely on the duo Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Piere-Emerick Aubameyang.

There was no goal created until the referee blew the whistle the first half ended. Arsenal and Newcastle are both unable to break their opponents’ nets.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang broke the deadlock when the match lasted 58 minutes. Apparently, Aubameyang’s goal was the only goal that was created in the match.

The score 1-0 last until the game ends. Arsenal went home with joy after bringing three points from the trip to the Newcastle headquarters.

These notes add to Steve Bruce’s poor record when met Arsenal. Of the 27 matches against the Gunners, the Newcastle manager lost 19 times and only won twice.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored 33 goals in 50 Premier League matches with Arsenal. This is the highest number in club history, beating Thierry Henry’s 30 goals.

Besides, since debuting in February 2018, only one player has scored more goals than Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the Premier League. The player in question is Mohamed Salah with 36 goals.

Throughout the history of the Premier League, Arsenal have played 200 players at the event. Their new signing, Nicolas Pepe, became the 200th footballer in history to defend the Gunners.
