The Figure Behind Joao Cancelo’s Decision to Leave for Manchester City

DBasia.news –  There is a hidden role from Bernardo Silva behind Joao Cancelo’s departure to Manchester City. It was Silva who convinced Cancelo to come to Manchester.

Cancelo was brought in from Juventus with an estimated transfer of 26 million pounds. Cancelo’s move was also marked by a player exchange with Danilo, who left for Juventus.

“We talked about my move to Manchester City several times, but we didn’t meet often. Bernardo Silva told me how great this club was and the team’s atmosphere was greata,” Cancelo said as quoted by the official Manchester City website.

Both are products of Benfica’s academy and debuted on the Benfica senior team in the same season, 2013/14.
