The Serbian League is a priority, Crvena Zvezda no longer cares about the Champions League

DBasia.news –  Crvena Zvezda defender, Milos Degenek said his team’s top priority at the moment was to win the Serbian League title. He also claimed that he did not care about the achievements of Crvena Zvezda in the Champions League this season.

Currently, Crvena is almost certain not to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League. Marko Marin cs only managed to collect three points from four matches and was in third place in Group B. Standings are four points adrift of Tottenham Hotspur in the second position.

In the Serbian League, Crvena was able to show a much better performance. Currently, they are top of the table with 43 points from 16 matches. Seven points ahead of Vojvodina in second place.

“We still have two Champions League matches left and four Serbian league parties (in 2019). We must be able to show the best performance in the field. Our priority now is to win the Serbian League title,” Milos Degenek was quoted as saying on the official UEFA website.

At dawn later, troops Vladan Milojevic will host Bayern Munich at the Marakana Stadium. Degenek also hopes that supporters will be available to fill the stadium and give a boost to Crvena.

“A big team will come to our headquarters. It made me feel the stadium would be full in the match later. I certainly hope the audience will fill the Marakana Stadium despite the rather cold weather. The presence of supporters will make us ready to win full points in the match later,” said Degenek.
