Torres Followed Iniesta’s Step to Japan League
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Slowly but sure, the popularity of Japan Football League is able to compete with other Asians, Tiongkok. It can be seen from the charm of the Cherry Blossom country as the magnet of European great players.
Lukas Podolski and Andres Iniesta are two players joining J1 League, the most prestigious football competition in Japan. Both of them play in the same team, Vissel Kobe. Podolski came to Kobe last year, followed by Iniesta recently.
Former Euro – two times in a row – and 2010 World Cup with Spain’s national team, Fernando Torres followed their path. El Nino joined with another J1 League club, Sagan Tosu.
“I (previously) wanted to enjoy my final few days at Atletico Madrid and to have time to reflect on what was the best for me and my family. It was a decision that was thought about a lot,” Torres said as reported by Marca.
“There were a lot of proposals from all continents. We (Torres, agent, and family) ruled out Europe because I already had the perfect ending. In the end, I took the best decision for us all,” the 34 years player continued.
No wonder that Torres no longer wants to play in Europe. Once considered as a failed player in Chelsea and AC Milan, Torres is lucky achieved Champions League, Europe League, FA Cup, World Cup, and Euro.
Since his career started in 2001, Torres is known as Atletico legendary player. He played for two periods, 2001-2007 and 2015-2018. He also succeeds in becoming top scorer with Liverpool during 2007-2011.
