Tottenham Manager Angry at Media

By news-admin

Mauricio Pochettino

DBasia.news – Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino denied the absence of Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld as the trigger of The Lilywhites 2-1 defeat against Inter Milan in the first matchday of Group B Champions League at Giuseppe Meazza, Tuesday (18/9).

Pochettino assumed Tottenham have the equal strength players in the squad.

Tottenham Hotspur started to lead the match by the kick from Christian Eriksen. But, just five minutes before the match ends, Inter Milan led the game by Mauro Icardi and Matias Vecino goals.

After the match, some reporters mentioned about Pochettino’s decision to not including Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld to Italia. The manager went awry.

“Why disrespect the players that aren’t on the pitch? You can blame me and say ‘gaffer, you were so so rubbish in your selection of the starting XI.But please don’t disrespect the players who were playing, because it’s my decision,” Pochettino explained quoted by FourFourTwo.

“Kieran Trippier, Toby Alderweireld, we have 25 players. And you ask me with your question, that you can play only 11 and the other 13 or 14 players are rubbish? are s***?” the Argentinian manager emphasized.

Before the match, Pochettino revealed Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld didn’t come to Milan due to the strategy reason. Meanwhile, Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli are still injured.

“It is so painful to hear when some people are not here, and you judge in that way and you kill players who give their best. It’s so unfair,” said the manager.

In the upcoming match, Harry Kane and friends will play against Barcelona at Wembley on October 4. Currently, Blaugara lead the Group B temporary standing with aggressivity goal dominance against Inter.
