DBasia.news –The UEFA Nations League will conduct their match debut this week. As planned, the match between Kazakhstan vs Georgia in League D, Thursday (6/9), will be the opening.
UEFA established the UEFA Nations League to make the UEFA becomes more interesting. The goal is UEFA Nations League could increase the quality of UEFA members and created a prestigious title instead of the friendly match.
UEFA Nations League was discussed since the UEFA Strategy Meeting in Cyprus, 2011. The competition will involve 55 European countries and divided into four league divisions (A, B, C, and D). According to UEFA’s official website, this time the group division related to the rank of each country until the end of 2018 World Cup qualification.
Later, each division will be classified into four groups and each group consists of 3 to 4 teams. Interestingly, there will be a degradation and promotion system for each league. The four teams will play from League A to B, B to C, and C to D. The same format will be applied for the promotion.
The UEFA Nations League this week will present the top teams’ matches. Like German will play against world champion France, and England will challenge Spain.
