DBasia.news – Unai Emery, Arsenal manager, discussed the reasons why there were no Arsenal players in the England squad (even though Arsenal were a British club). Emery assesses Arsenal have English players who play at different age levels.
Arsenal are the only club from the top six who do not have players in the England national team in the 2020 European Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic and Montenegro. This situation became a byword in England.
Indeed, Arsenal have one player who becomes a subscription to the Three Lions. The player is Danny Welbeck. However, at present Welbeck is experiencing an injury.
“Danny Welbeck must have been with the national team before the injury. However, it’s true that I think the team needs English players in it,” Unai Emery said as Four Four Two reported.
When asked whether Arsenal’s young players have a bright future in the England national team, Unai Emery is very confident. “Yes, of course, we will do that,” Emery stressed.
“Now, we have players here at U-18, U-19, U-20, and U-21. We have many players from England with the possibility of growing together. They will be part of the future of Arsenal and the national team,” he added.
Arsenal will host Newcastle United in the 2018-2019 Premier League match, at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday (2/4). At present, Petr Cech and his friends occupy fifth place after collecting 60 points.
