DBasia.news – Vincent Kompany, Manchester City defender and captain, confirmed the club’s commitment during the FA Cup final. The FA Cup title is a prestigious trophy to achieve.
Manchester City will challenge Watford in the FA Cup top flight, at Wembley Stadium, Saturday (18/5). It was the 11th final along the brief of the Citizens.
Kompany stated that currently Manchester City is like a hungry lion reaching for the title. The Belgian national team player said Man City always wanted to be the best.
“It’s not a matter of adding treble achievements to my personal data. I don’t care about that,” said Kompany, as reported by FourFourTwo.
“I know this team and they are like lions. When they are hungry, they are a special team. I will do anything to put a little blood into the water, so the team gets hungry,” he continued.
“My style is very simple. Every now and then, when things go too comfortably, I am a little aggressive in training or speaking and saying what I think,” explained Kompany.
The 33-year-old defender brought Manchester City to the FA Cup in 2011. It was the Citizens’ first title after fasting for 35 years.
“I really want to play in the FA Cup final. I am very motivated. To reach the final is an achievement for myself. However, now we have to try to win it,” Kompany commented.
