Wenger Should Have Left Arsenal In 2017

DBasia.news –  Former Arsenal midfielder, Gilberto Silva has that said Arsene Wenger should have left the Gunners in 2017. He said the 2017 FA Cup final should be Arsene Wenger’s last party in North London.

Despite winning the FA Cup title, Arsenal supporters were already indignant with Wenger. They also voiced their opinions with the hashtag Wenger Out which had become viral on social media.

However, Le Professeur has instead signed a contract extension with a duration of two years four days after the FA Cup victory in 2017. Arsene Wenger finally decided to leave Arsenal at the end of the 2017-18 season. His position was replaced by former Sevilla coach, Unai Emery.

“The success of Arsenal’s FA Cup title in 2017 should be a farewell match for Arsene Wenger. But, I know  Arsene really well. He is a person who really loves football and wants to continue to contribute, “said Gilberto Silva.

“Everyone must respect a great figure like that and not force him to leave. But, I think the club will also find it difficult to find a replacement if Arsene leaves after successfully winning the FA Cup in 2017, “he added.

Gilberto Silva is one of the members of the Gunners squad who won the Premier League championship in the 2003-04 season.
