West Ham Denied Yaya Toure Transfer Rumor
By news-admin
Yaya Toure
DBasia.news – Yaya Toure’s status is uncertain after leaving Manchester City last season. Once played in Greece, now Toure has no club.
However, the Ivory Coast player decided to return to his former club, Olympiacos. It’s unfortunate that Toure’s career with Erythrolefki was so short because he was just there for three months before the club terminated his contract.
Apparently, the main trigger is Toure’s performance that wasn’t satisfying. Returning with a free transfer status, West Ham United are rumored interested on the 35-year-old player, considering the current coach is Manuel Pellegrini who once collaborated with Toure.
However, Pellegrini declared that Toure isn’t the main priority for him. The former Real Madrid player won’t doubt about his quality, but Pellegrini feels like he has enough midfielders.
“I spoke with Yaya at the beginning of the season. Yaya is a great player, a top player that plays in every part of the role. I don’t know what happened with him in Greece,” Pellegrini said quoted by FourFourTwo.
“At this moment, I cannot answer your question. It’s not a priority as in that position we already have players,” he concluded.
Yaya Toure is turning 35 and that’s also the reason why Pellegrini thinks twice to sign him in the 2019 winter transfer market.
