Willian wants Chelsea to win the Europa League

DBasia.news –  The Chelsea wing striker, Willian, really hopes his team can win the Europa League against Arsenal in the final which takes place at the Baku Olympic Stadium, Azerbaijan, on Thursday (30/5) early morning Western Indonesian Time.

The 2018/19 season did not fully run badly for Chelsea in the inaugural season of Maurizio Sarri training the team. The Blues reached two finals, League Cup and Europa League, and successfully penetrated the Champions League zone in the Premier League.

So, a win against Arsenal in the Europa League final will end the 2018/19 season well for Chelsea. Willian understood this.

“I know this is not my best season (with Chelsea). It’s okay, but not the best. I know I can play much better. Not only me but the whole squad, this is not our best season. We all know can perform better,” Willian told the Mirror.

“But in the end, we targeted many targets and we reached some of those targets. We reached the League Cup final, third place in the Premier League, and now will play the Europa League final.”

“If you see the end and we win the trophy, then I will think this is a good season. We qualify for the Champions League and can win the European trophy, this is good, even though we always want more,” Willian continued.

The Brazilian also admitted the match against Arsenal would not be easy. Moreover, the squad made by Unai Emery requires a victory to play in the Champions League next season.

“It’s a derby match, against Arsenal – that has a great team with great players, and we have to do everything possible to win. It’s always difficult to play their opponents,” Willian added.

“Don’t worry, our motivation is also high. It’s not just a Champions League for us. We want to win another trophy, the European trophy. Later it will be a very good match and we believe we can do it,” he said.
