DBasia.news –  Real Madrid played against Club Brugge in the second week of the 2019 Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. One of the surprising moments occurred when Thibaut Courtois was replaced by Alphonse Aerola at half-time.

According to the French coach, Courtois had to be pulled out and replaced by Alphonse Areola as the former Chelsea goalkeeper was experiencing pain.

“Courtois was not feeling well and was unable continue the match. I am not at all worried about the appearance of Courtois or with other Real Madrid players, “Zidane said as quoted by Football5star.com from the official UEFA page.

Zidane also gave a statement related to Courtois’ poor performance in the first round. Club Brugee’s first goal was scored by Emmanuel Bonaventure in the 9th minute was created due to the negligence of the Belgian keeper.

“Everyone can blame Thibaut. But for me we all make mistakes, especially me, “stated the former Juventus player.

Real Madrid were only able to draw 2-2 with Club Brugge at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Brugge’s two goals from Emmanuel Bonaventure were returned by the two goals from Sergio Ramos and Casemiro.

Related to this draw, Zidane admitted that he was very disappointed and considered this result to be the worst even though he stated that his players were very trying not to lose.

“This is a bad result. But I am thrilled with the reaction of the players when they fell behind by two goals. The point is we must not be quickly satisfied and keep trying to be able to win. “Concluded Zidane.
